Santa Maria Antica Church This Veronese-Romanesque style church was originally built in the 7th Century AD. In 1185 it was almost entirely rebuilt in 1185, remodeled in the early 17th century to reflect Baroque style and returned to its original state at the end of the 19th century. Sant'Anastasia Commissioned by the Scala family around 1290, in all, the Sant'Anastasia church took over a century to complete and the architect still unknown. Sections of the church were removed, during the Napoleonic pillage, but restorations have succeeded in saving the rest of it from the ravages of time. San Lorenzo This Romanesque style church, built in 1110, replaced earlier Christian building erected on the site in the fifth and sixth century. Using some of the materials from the earlier buildings, the church holds the rare and precious women's galleries and large cylindrical towers. San Giovanni in Foro The exact construction date of the San Giovanni in Foro is unknown, but has been estimated around the 12th century. San Fermo Maggiore Dating back to the 8th century, the San Fermo Maggiore went through renovations in the 11th century, with the bell tower added much later, in the 13th century. Inside, the church is made up of several chapels. The Nichesola Chapel delights visitors with its marble statues, while the Brenzoni Chapel is equally alluring with an amazing altar, tombs, statues and more.
